                Hi Everyone,
                It's hard to believe we’re into November already.  We have a few reminders and some news to share with you. 

                                                         The studio will be closed from NOV. 23rd  thru NOV. 30th 
                                                                         for our THANKSGIVING BREAK!

                                                 We wish you all a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING FILLED WITH
                                               HEALTH, HAPPINESS, FRIENDS, FAMILY and most importantly
                                                                                        LASTING LOVE

 

                                                                                                                                            


         If Franklin or Wrentham Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Franklin & Wrentham Dance
         Workshop is also closed.  If the bad weather starts mid-day, or the driving becomes hazardous, please call
         the studio or check the website first before venturing out.  The website address is www.franklindance.com  &  
         www.wrenthamdance.com    be sure to bookmark for easy access.
                                                      
 

Remember our dress code.  Only Workshop shirts and solid black or white T-shirts are allowed in TAP or JAZZ class.  Black or solid color leotard and pink tights for BALLET class.  T-shirts & shorts are NOT ALLOWED in BALLET.   Hair should be neatly tied back for all classes.   Proper dress is required to participate in class.  Levels 1-3, Please work on your splits, straddles and jumps. Advanced students should already have splits & straddles down. We would like to see everyone in full splits and straddles by the end of December.

                    The first adult to find a typo in the monthly newsletter and contact me by e-mail will receive
                           a free month tuition for one class.  Hopefully there will be only one typo each month.

SHOWTIME ’09 is scheduled to be held at the Medway High School on Sat, June 13rd @ 6:00p.m.
 & Sun, June 14th @ 6:00p.m. for Franklin.  And for the Wrentham Studio on Sun, June 14th @ 1:00pm.
 
 
 


                                We are entering the months of the year when BIRTHDAY PARTIES are best held indoors.   
                            This is a good time to remind you all of our BIRTHDAY PARTY ADVENTURES in Wrentham. 
                            We have several themed parties available with decorations & all the trimmings.  We have the
                        paper goods, table settings, goodie bags, invitations to a free class for all in attendance and we
                         have them both with pizza & without.  We provide everything needed except the cake and kids. 
                      Mom’s have the luxury of doing NOTHING or simply taking pictures. Everything else is done for you.
                     The party is 1 & ½ hours long and includes a dance class, games, dress up, nail painting and time for
                         refreshments and gift opening.  Parties can be scheduled on Sat. after 2:00 and anytime on Sunday.
                          Call the studio at 508-528-6555 to make arrangements. 

                                       ALSO, again this year!! We have Fairy Princess Birthday party with a sleepover.
                            Let your little Princess be pampered. The dream begins as her guests all dress in beautiful gowns.
                      They will dine on a meal fit for a Queen (pizza)  and they will dance, be made up, have hair fashioned and
                       eventually settle into sleeping bags to watch a movie.   The Royal Families will collect the princess’ at 8:00
                   after they have dined on donuts, yogurt & juice. Each guest will receive a photo to remember her special night. 
                        The cost will be $30.00 per guest and includes everything in the brochure.  Pick one up at the studio. 

 
 


                                                            FRANKLIN & WRENTHAM DANCE WORKSHOP'S
                                                                             ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY  

                                                Plans are under way for our CHRISTMAS PARTY which will be held on
                                SUN. DEC. 7th from 1:00-4:00 @ the Helen Keller School in Franklin on Lincoln St. 
                                                 We would love to have all out students join us for this Holiday Celebration. 
                          There will be raffles, prizes, goodies, a GIFT SWAP and a gift to each student from all the teachers at the
                           WORKSHOP.  We will have a performance by the FRANKLIN DANCE COMPANY and a visit from a
                              special guest.  There will be a HOME MADE ORNAMENT CONTEST judged on originality, beauty,
                                   cuteness etc.) Song singing, dances on stage, a little something for everyone.  Pleas join us!!

                        WHAT TO BRING….. 1.)  Please bring a TOY or game, (something your child would like to go                     
                                                                      home with) priced between $7.00-$10.00 wrapped in paper or a gift bag.

                                                                2.)  A baked good.  6 cupcakes, donuts, brownies, 12 cookies, fudge etc  

                                                                3.)  A home made ornament to participate in the contest.

                                                We will supply the drinks, popcorn, chips, pretzels, cheese twists, and candy. 

                               Pictures will be available with Santa @ $5.00 each (AS A FUNDRAISER FOR THE DANCE CO). 
                                   As soon as we snap a picture one parent is welcome to snap one pic with your own camera.

                            At the end of the day we will allow for lap time with Santa so those children not having pics done may
                                               have a minute to talk with Santa.  NO PICTURES ALLOWED AT THIS POINT.                           

We’re all looking forward to a fun & relaxing afternoon for all the kids.                       

 

 

 

                                                    TUITION for NOVEMBER and all COSTUME BALANCES are now due.   
                                      Please check your records and be sure to stay caught up.  Any payment received after   
                                                                   the 15th of the month will be subject to a $10.00 late fee.

 
 
               
                   Just a reminder that our “PARENTS NIGHT OUT” is the first SATURDAY of every month
                      from 6:00-11:00 p.m. in Wrentham.  We will have arts and crafts, movies, games etc. 
         To reserve a spot use the sign up sheet at the studio. AND in DECEMBER we are having a SHOPPING        
                   EXTRAVAGANZA DAY.   We will be accepting kids all day on Dec. 6TH  from 1:00 p.m-11 p.m. 
   Drop the kids off for an hour or for the day while you do your shopping.  One child is $5.00/hr 2nd child in the family
    is $1.00 additional.   If your child is at the studio on Dec 6TH  between 5:00 & 6:00 they will be offered 2 slices of
   pizza and a beverage at a cost of $3.50 each.  Babysitting & dinner!  What a deal!!  Please give the studio a call
   so we know how many sitters to have on hand.
 
 


                                         We still have plenty of room in the Mom’s Class on Tue. nights @ 8:10 in Wrentham.
                     Get in shape before the holidays, and then you can enjoy them a little more!  Word has it that it’s a blast!!!!

                    We are still accepting NEW STUDENTS.  Remember, if you recommend the studio to a friend, and they
                   sign up, you will receive 3 months free tuition.  If you have the most friends signing up, you and your friends
                                                                   will do a dance together in SHOWTIME ‘09.

                    We would like you all to know that during this holiday season we are especially grateful for your friendship.

       P.S.  At this time of year we think about those not as fortunate.  Please join us in collections canned goods and
                non perishable items for CHRISTMAS FOOD BASKETS.   Final Date to drop off date for food will be
                Dec17th.

       We are also accepting shoe boxes filled with toys in the name of the late Diane Quinlan to be distributed to
       orphans.  Diane was wonderful, generous, caring & courageous woman who felt so strongly about the
       misfortune of children that she traveled to Russia on several occasions and jumped through all the hoops
       so she would be able to bring 2 young sisters home with her.  Those 2 little girls, Anya & Casey would become
       Diane’s family to live with her here in the United States.  Please see the attached instruction sheet and check

       such a wonderful woman. 
     
 
 
         
           FINALLY….we have wonderful news to share.  This is something we’ve been trying to put in place since we
                                      opened 5 years ago and we are now ready to announce the addition of our
                          FRANKLIN MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM @ the WRENTHAM DANCE WORKSHOP.

                   You can’t pick up a paper anymore without reading about a kidnapping or an attempted
                  kidnapping.  Or about women being attacked, or a child being in a close call where some
                   man has tried to get them into his car.  We would like to make it easy for you to have that
                            added protection for the kids.   We hope that you’ll be able to find one of our
                         MARTIAL ARTS classes at a convenient time for all the kids in your household.  

                         We are beginning our program on Tue, Dec 2nd right here in the WRENTHAM STUDIO
                                 and invite anyone interested in trying the classes to a month of free lessons.
                                                           More classes will be added as needed.

                  Diane Quinlan was an amazing person who touched so many during her life.  She was a young extraordinary hero who left her mark
                   on all those she met. Diane had a greatness about her.  A greatness for love and compassion, for friendship and humanity, for family
 and motherhood. Diane enjoyed life to its fullest and we are all so fortunate to have her in our lives.

                    Sadly, Diane was diagnosed with Melanoma in February  2007, and fought tenaciously to live for her children, family and friends. 
                    Diane passed away on  June 24,2008.  She fought her battle  with such grace and dignity,
and showed us all how to be brave and strong.

               We are so excited and privileged to now participate in Project Shoebox – this embodies Diane’s true spirit of providing joy
          and happiness in the lives of others.  This holiday season is the perfect time to share with one another the gift of giving and
         allow all of us the opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life.  How wonderful is that!   We thank everyone for sharing
               in this remarkable opportunity – we know this was very important to Diane and in her honor we will continue
to champion these causes.

            If you're unable to put a shoe box together but still want to be involved in providing a gift, you may purchase a box
.  For a fifteen dollar donation a shoe box gift will be assembled for you and added to the orphanage shipment

          As a unique gift you can give a shoe box present to an orphan in someone's name.  You will be sent a certificate to
         present to your recipient announcing that an orphan has been sent a Christmas gift in their honor. Cost is $16.
